What is Baby Care?
Baby Care Problems
The arrival of a new baby is a time of great change for its parents and the other family members from big brother to granny. Even if the family already has children another will alter the way that it works, and the new arrival will bring its own difficulties; breastfeeding or bottle, disposable nappies or towelling, three hourly or demand feeding regimes, sibling rivalry and so on.
This is a time when the extended family will need support and encouragement from outside agencies, such as those we list below. The additional expense and perhaps reduced income may lead to money problems.
Health Issues
Health problems may become apparent in the baby at this stage in life including cradle cap (a form of eczema), learning difficulties (developmental difficulties) and inherited diseases. Maternal Rubella may cause learning difficulties but also deafness appearing in the newborn.
