What is Neuro Linguistic Programming?
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP, neurolinguistic programing) is a way to change unwanted behaviours by using specific tools based upon the principles below:-
- Deciding exactly what you want to achieve.
- Understanding whether you are actually making progress towards that goal
- Being flexible enough to change your approach if you aren't making progress.
- Doing it now.
You must know what you want to achieve. If you don't you will never be able to get help your problems. The processes of NLP teach how to behave, think and speak in the correct to way to maximise the chances of getting where you want to go by using specific techniques that the therapist will teach you.
Please note that NLP may be used in many other areas than those Shared Care lists and would be advisable to check that your practitioner specifically deals with your problem (ed.)
